
Sheila Higgins, Director of Religious Education (Grades 1-5)
As the new Director, Sheila Higgins is excited to implement
a new curriculum from the Image of God Series by Ignatius Press. This curriculum is a new approach to learning the Catholic
faith and is based upon the writings and teachings of Blessed Pope John Paul II, emphasizing the dignity of every human person.
Catechists will also be going over basic Catholic prayers to encourage a vibrant and active prayer life in the children. Sheila has been active in various ministries through the years
at St. Teresa’s, including as a teacher, coordinator and curriculum writer for Vacation Bible school, a Confirmation
instructor, a Bible study leader, and a member of the Faith and Life Committee. She has extensive professional experience
in communications, and has served as a grammar school track coach for nine years. She is married with two daughters.

Francoise Gross, Director of Youth Ministry and Confirmation
Program (Grade 6-9):
Francoise Gross is the Director of Youth Ministry and Confirmation
Program and responsible for implementing our new "youth group model" of religious education for the middle school
program and confirmation program, reporting to Fr. Brian. Students will meet in Memorial Hall for 2 hour sessions to attend
multi-media presentations, prayer services, and to enjoy music and speakers. The program will be run in a semester format
including faith instructions leading to a strong desire to be leaders in our community. Francoise lives in Summit with her
husband and their three kids. She is an avid parishioner and has been active in St. Teresa's Religious Education for the past
few years. She has an extensive background in IT and project management specializing in restructuring and implementing new
organizations.
